Ron Leftwich '64 Endowed Scholarship

The Ronald W. Leftwich Chairman Emeritus Endowed Scholarship was established at Culver-Stockton College in 2023 by Trustees, Alumni, Faculty and Staff and Friends of Culver-Stockton College in recognition of his dedication, love, and commitment to Culver-Stockton. The scholarship is awarded to a student exhibiting the characteristics of leadership, service, dedication, and commitment in the classroom and the community. 

Ronald W. Leftwich graduated from Culver-Stockton College in 1964 with a degree in Business Administration and is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Upon graduation, he immediately began his 38-year career with Shell Oil Company. He traveled throughout the world and made Houston, Texas his home with his wife, Susie. His son David, along with his wife, Tara, and granddaughter, Eliot live nearby.

Ron was honored as a distinguished alumnus of C-SC in 2008 and received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Culver-Stockton in 2013. He was inducted into the Order of the Founders Circle in 2018, recognizing his legacy of enduring care, faithful service, leadership and commitment to Culver-Stockton. He served on the Board of Trustees from 1990-2023 and was the Chairman of the Board from 2009-2023. He has supported the endowed scholarships of his parents and sister, campaign projects, senior class challenge since 2011. In 2012, he established the annual Susan V. Leftwich Spirit of Culver-Stockton Award which honors a student of promise demonstrating the true spirit of Culver-Stockton.  

Every decision made under Ron's leadership was made for the success of the student. Ron's dedication to Culver-Stockton has been unmatched and it is fitting to honor him with this endowed scholarship which will be awarded to a student annually for perpetuity.
